Key Components

Inspired by the White House Internship Program, the following elements ensure a well-rounded experience:

  1. Hands-On Work

    • Tasks will vary by track but emphasize practical application.

      • Guest speakers (e.g., virtual talks by music school administrators, digital marketers, or sales professionals).
      • Skill-building workshops (e.g., “Managing a Music School Calendar” or “Crafting a Sales Pitch for Music Classes”).
  3. Mentorship

    • Each intern will be paired with a mentor from the academy staff for guidance and feedback, with check-ins during team meetings or as needed.
  4. Community Engagement

    • Interns will collaborate on a group project, such as a promotional campaign for a community music event, to foster teamwork and impact.
  5. Capstone Project

    • At the program’s end, interns will present a final project (e.g., a streamlined lesson scheduling process, a mock marketing campaign, or a sales strategy plan) during a team meeting.
